Acupuncture treats disruption of sleep and insomnia

We lost one hour days ago. Why am I still so tired?

It seems that since the switch to daylight savings last weekend many of us have a difficult time making sense of time. Appointments are missed, the body just cannot grasp what time it really is. Daylight Saving Time started again this weekend. We “sprung ahead” and lost that precious one hour. Daylight Saving Time was put into effect in the early 1900’s to limit the use of candles and fuel during the wartime. It gave us more useful hours of daylight.

Those original reasons are no longer needed. The twice a year time change affect us much the same as jet-lag. It can take a full two weeks to adjust to this change. Acupuncture is a great way to rebalance the nervous system and help the mind/body connection and sense of time to come back and integrate the change.

Each organ has it’s special peak time in Chinese Medicine where it functions at it’s best, and on hour of change can really bring all that out of balance. This disruption changes a person’s sleep, daytime concentration, emotional balance, decision making skills and reaction times.
